Details cannot be edited after payment, so every field must be correct before pressing pay. Do not buy a second paid order to fix a typo. Wrong UDID / new phone is the only exception and goes through https://mclovin.tech/udid. App UX: Home Screen widgets (long-press the app). Face photo only on the driver’s license (Ökuskírteini), not disability/other IDs. Barcode licenses animate a green expiry line and refresh when it hits zero. No top-right offline icon. Multiple ages / switching: a person can buy more than one age (e.g. 18 and 20) on the same kennitala — each age is a separate full-price order (one setup email per order). Opening https://mclovin.tech/switch?id=YOUR-KENNITALA&age=18 (or the matching link in the email) flips the active age: Island.is Web (Script) flips island.is instantly; A+W+B (VPN) switches the VPN gateway within a few seconds; only one age is active at a time. Switching between ages you already own is free. Buyers who installed the userscript before this feature must reinstall it once so it can switch. Island.is App (Replica) is a fixed Diawi build and is not switchable — another age in that app needs a new App order.

Six products you can mix — with one exception below. None of them change your actual kennitala at Þjóðskrá — they only change what shows on your phone so you can present a different kennitala visually. Island.is App (Replica) (8.000 kr) — a separate Home Screen app that looks exactly like the real island.is app but shows the kennitala you chose. The real app stays installed. A perfect-looking driver’s license is included — if you don’t have a real driver’s license, choose this. We recommend hiding the real app from your Home Screen before using the custom one (see "How do I disable everything?"). Signed to your iPhone via UDID; after you pay, Apple can take up to 80 hours, then you get a Diawi IPA install link. If that UDID is already on App Store Connect, the 80-hour wait is skipped. Supports Home Screen widgets; face photo only on the driver’s license. Island.is Web (Script) (3.000 kr) — a Safari userscript that runs on the real island.is website only and rewrites the kennitala shown on the page. You install it from https://user.mclovin.tech. Turning off the userscript instantly returns the site to normal. Does not change the island.is app or bank apps. A+W+B (VPN) (12.000 kr) — no userscript extension and no extra app. After payment you get a link to https://vpn.mclovin.tech: install one configuration profile (VPN + certificate), trust “Surge” under Certificate Trust Settings, then turn on “Island Surge VPN” in Settings. The real island.is app, Safari, and bank apps (Landsbankinn / Arion) are rewritten through the gateway. Want just one surface? Three à-la-carte VPN configs use the exact same profile but change only one thing: Island.is App (VPN) (4.000 kr) changes only the real island.is app; Island.is Web (VPN) (4.000 kr) changes only the island.is website in Safari; Lands & Arion Banks (VPN) (4.000 kr) changes only the bank apps and their websites (Landsbankinn / Arion). Same setup link, same VPN — you just pick the surface. You can combine those three with each other. You cannot select A+W+B (VPN) together with any of the three à-la-carte VPNs on https://mclovin.tech/items.

Yes. Besides the all-in-one A+W+B (VPN) (12.000 kr), there are three à-la-carte VPN configs that each change only one surface: Island.is App (VPN) (4.000 kr) changes only the real island.is app — the website and banks stay real; Island.is Web (VPN) (4.000 kr) changes only the island.is website in Safari — the app and banks stay real; Lands & Arion Banks (VPN) (4.000 kr) changes only the bank apps and websites (Landsbankinn / Arion) — island.is stays real. They all install the same single VPN profile from https://vpn.mclovin.tech. The app-vs-website split works because the real island.is app identifies itself to the network differently from Safari, so the gateway can target one without the other. You can combine those three (e.g. app + banks) in one checkout. You cannot select A+W+B (VPN) together with any à-la-carte VPN — the combo already covers those surfaces.

Do not pay for expedite until we confirm. Ignore older social posts that mention different prices, 25% off, or “save when you bundle,” unless you came in through the sticker QR.

A tester program, not a fourth one-off product. You pay 5.000 kr per month with a 3-month binding: Stripe takes 15.000 kr today and does not charge again until three months later, then 5.000 kr each month. Cancel or update the card any time on https://mclovin.tech/sub (same email you paid with) via the Stripe Billing Portal — the next charge stops; you keep what you already paid for. You get the three all-in-one products: Island.is App (Replica), Island.is Web (Script), and A+W+B (VPN). The three à-la-carte VPNs are not extra line items — they are already inside A+W+B (VPN). Future products are included too. We are building an Aur app replica; live subscribers get that beta before the public shop. Thursday 30%, the sticker 50% deal, and admin sales do not apply to Beta.

Open https://mclovin.tech/sub, scroll to “Cancel or update the card”, type the email you used at checkout, and open the Stripe Billing Portal. Cancel or update the card there. It takes effect immediately for future charges — we do not take the next 5.000 kr. There is no refund on the 15.000 kr binding window you already paid.

When the first Aur replica beta is ready it goes to active Beta subscribers first — before it is sold as a normal item. We will email the checkout address. Keep the subscription live if you want that drop; cancelled subs are not in the tester list.

Two different cases (Fin should distinguish them): Blocked — Stripe’s fraud filter (Radar) stopped the payment before it reached the bank. Common if you retry many times quickly, use a mistyped email, or the card scores as high risk. What to do: wait a bit, try a different card or Apple Pay, double-check the email spelling, and do not hammer Pay. Message support chat with the email you used if you still cannot complete checkout. Failed — the card’s bank declined the charge (often “do not honor” / generic decline). What to do: try another card, enable online payments with your bank, or use Apple Pay. Support cannot force a bank to approve a card. Neither case is usually a problem with mclovin.tech itself. If Stripe shows Succeeded / Paid but you never got a product email, check Spam / Junk / Promotions, then message chat with the checkout email — do not pay a second time.

Every field matters — double-check before you pay. Details cannot be changed after payment and refunds are not offered, so anything you type wrong stays wrong. Read every field twice. Required for every order: • Your real kennitala — your actual kennitala with your real birthdate. The new kennitala is built by adjusting the year so the check digits stay valid. • The new age you want to appear as — used to work out the correct birth year (including whether your birthday has already passed this year). • Email address — where we send confirmation, setup links, and the Island.is App (Replica) install link. Use an email you actually check. Typos here are a common reason people “never got the email.” Required only for Island.is App (Replica) (full profile form): • Full name — shown next to the kennitala. Spell it exactly as you want it displayed. • Legal address (heimilisfang) — street, postcode and city on the profile page. If you don't have a registered address you can pick "Ótilgreint" and any city. • Phone number — realistic Icelandic-format number. • Kyn (gender) — shown on the profile screen. • Photo — clear, forward-facing ID-style photo on a plain background. On Island.is App (Replica), this face is shown on the driver’s license (and matching widgets), not on disability / other IDs. • iPhone UDID — required before you pay. Enter it on the items page after getting it from udid.tech (see “How do I get my UDID?”). The App is signed to that device. If you later switch phones, use the “New phone” page. Island.is Web (Script), A+W+B (VPN), and the three à-la-carte VPNs do not need the full Island.is App (Replica) profile — email, real kennitala, and new age are enough at checkout.

Six products: Island.is App (Replica), Island.is Web (Script), A+W+B (VPN), plus three à-la-carte VPN configs that each change only one surface — Island.is App (VPN) (only the island.is app), Island.is Web (VPN) (only the island.is website in Safari), and Lands & Arion Banks (VPN) (only the bank apps/sites). You can buy one, or mix Replica / Script / the three à-la-carte VPNs in a single checkout. You cannot select A+W+B (VPN) together with any of the three à-la-carte VPNs. Most people order either Island.is App (Replica) or A+W+B (VPN). Buying multiple items does not add a discount — you pay full list price for each unless a Thursday / sticker / admin discount is on (highest one wins).

Island.is Web (Script), A+W+B (VPN), and the three à-la-carte VPNs are usually delivered within a few minutes of payment. You get an email with a personal link and setup instructions: • Userscript → https://user.mclovin.tech/?id=YOUR-KENNITALA (subject often “Userscript uppsetning / Userscript setup”) • A+W+B (VPN) and à-la-carte VPNs → https://vpn.mclovin.tech/?id=YOUR-KENNITALA (subject often “Uppsetning á prófíl / Profile setup”) Island.is App (Replica) is different. You enter your UDID on the items page before payment. After you pay, Apple registration can take up to 80 hours before we email the Diawi IPA install link. If that UDID is already on App Store Connect, the 80-hour wait is skipped automatically. Always check Spam / Junk / Promotions before contacting support — most “missing” emails are there. You also get a separate Stripe payment receipt; that is not the product email. If payment succeeded and the product email is missing after a few minutes (Script / VPN) or after the 80-hour window (Island.is App (Replica)), message the chat bubble for a resend — do not pay again.

Yes, but it is not a button at checkout. For 35.000 kr extra we can push your UDID through an expedited slot and hand-build Island.is App (Replica) instead of the normal Apple queue, so you get the Diawi link the same day (usually within a few hours). Message the chat bubble first and wait until we confirm a slot — then we tell you how to pay. Do not send money for expedite on your own.

All payments go through Stripe Checkout in Icelandic krónur (ISK) — we never see or store your card number. Icelandic and international Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay work. The charge appears under our Stripe merchant name, not “island.is” or a bank name. You get: (1) a Stripe payment confirmation, and (2) a separate email from us with the product / setup link. For Island.is App (Replica), the install link comes later after the UDID wait (or immediately if the UDID is already on App Store Connect, or after we confirmed expedite in chat). If the success page says payment is not confirmed but your card was charged, message the chat bubble with the email you used at checkout — do not pay again. If Stripe says Blocked or Failed, see “My Stripe payment says Blocked or Failed — what do I do?”

No, if you enter that kennitala correctly on the items / checkout flow and it is still valid, Stripe is skipped automatically and the order is fulfilled like a paid order. Each prepaid kennitala works once. If it was already used, checkout will charge normally. If something fails during free fulfillment, the kennitala is put back so you can retry. Enter the exact same info you were told to use — it cannot be changed afterwards, and do not invent a second free kennitala.

Do this on your iPhone in Safari — not Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Chrome, or a computer. Profiles and UDID downloads only work in Safari. For a new App order: get the UDID while filling the form on https://mclovin.tech/items (before you pay). If you already paid and never sent a UDID, or you got a new phone: use https://mclovin.tech/udid with the same full name as your order. 1. On the items / UDID page, use the button that opens udid.tech (or open https://mclovin.tech/go/udid if you are stuck in Snapchat/Instagram). 2. If you are inside Snapchat / Instagram / TikTok: tap ⋯ → Open in Safari, then continue. 3. Tap the button on udid.tech to download the configuration profile. 4. Open Settings → Profile Downloaded (at the top) → Install → enter passcode → Install again. 5. Safari reopens and shows your UDID. Copy it and paste it into the UDID field on the form. A valid UDID looks like either 8 hex digits, a dash, then 16 hex digits (example shape: 00008030-001A2B3C4D5E6F70), or a 40-character hex string with no spaces. Apple sometimes delays profile install / the UDID page for about 1 hour as a security check. If nothing installs, wait one hour and try once more — do not spam retries during that hour.

When your App payment is completed (your UDID was already entered on the items page before paying). Until then nothing is waiting on Apple. After payment, allow up to 80 hours for Apple registration and our Diawi email. If that UDID is already on App Store Connect, the wait is skipped. Check spam before messaging the chat bubble, and only ask about a missing App after the full window unless we confirmed expedite in chat.

Full tutorial for Island.is App (Replica) (not A+W+B (VPN)). Do everything on the same iPhone you will install on, in Safari / Settings — not Snapchat or Instagram. Part 1 — Before you pay (on https://mclovin.tech/items) 1. Select Island.is App (Replica) and fill in your full profile. 2. Get your UDID and paste it into the UDID field (see “How do I get my UDID?”). 3. Continue to payment. The up-to-80-hour wait starts after payment succeeds. Part 2 — Wait for the install email 1. Wait for the email with subject starting with READY: — it contains your Diawi install link. Check Spam / Junk / Promotions. If the UDID was already registered, this email can arrive much sooner. Part 3 — Install from the Diawi link 1. Open the Diawi link in Safari on that iPhone. 2. Tap “Install this application”, then tap “Install” when iOS asks. 3. Wait until the app icon appears on the Home Screen (it looks like the real island.is app). 4. Open the new app. If you see “Developer Mode Required”, tap OK — do not force-close yet. Part 4 — Turn on Developer Mode (required once) 1. Open Settings → Privacy & Security. 2. Scroll down to Developer Mode and tap it. 3. Turn Developer Mode ON, then tap Restart when asked. 4. After the phone reboots, tap Enable and unlock the phone. 5. Open the custom island.is app again — it should launch normally. Part 5 — Before you use it in front of anyone 1. Hide the real island.is app from Home Screen and Search (see “How do I disable everything?” → Hide the real island.is app). 2. Confirm the custom app shows your chosen name, age/kennitala, photo and address. Part 6 — Home Screen widgets (optional) 1. Touch and hold the custom island.is app icon. 2. Add the license widgets from the widget gallery (same idea as the real island.is app). 3. Face photo appears on the driver’s license widget only — disability and other IDs show without a face. Troubleshooting • “Untrusted Enterprise Developer” / cannot open: Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → tap the developer profile → Trust → Trust. • Install button does nothing: you must use Safari on the iPhone whose UDID was registered — not a computer, and not an in-app browser. • Wrong phone after you already paid: use New phone / https://mclovin.tech/udid with the same full name as the original order. • No READY email yet: wait the full 80 hours after payment, then message support chat with your checkout email. • Missing widgets after install: you need a recent build that includes widgets; message chat with your checkout email if long-press shows no widgets.

Yes — recent App builds support island.is-style Home Screen widgets (long-press the app icon to add them). • Face / photo: only on the driver’s license (Ökuskírteini), both in the app and on widgets. Disability (Örorkuskírteini) and other IDs do not show a face photo. • Licenses with barcodes: a green expiry line animates down; when it finishes, the barcode refreshes automatically. • There is no “no internet / offline” icon in the top-right of the app. If an older install is missing widgets, message support chat for a rebuilt Diawi link.

Use the personal link from your email: https://user.mclovin.tech/?id=YOUR-KENNITALA (must be Safari on iPhone). 1. Install the free “Userscripts” app from the App Store (search Userscripts, or use the App Store button on the setup page). 2. Open the Userscripts app once. 3. Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Userscripts. Turn ON Allow Extension and Allow in Private Browsing. Tap Other Websites → Allow. 4. Return to https://user.mclovin.tech, tap “Open script in Safari”. A tab full of code is normal. 5. Tap the small button on the left of the address bar (puzzle / lines / “Aa”) → Userscripts → Tap to Install → scroll down → Install. 6. Open island.is in Safari → Mínar upplýsingar and confirm the new kennitala shows. If it does not work: confirm every Safari extension switch is on, close all Safari tabs and retry, and make sure you are not using Chrome. Switching ages: if you own more than one age, open that age's link from your email — it opens island.is and flips your number instantly, with no reinstall. If you bought the userscript before switching existed, reinstall it once from your link so it can switch.

Use the personal link from your email: https://vpn.mclovin.tech/?id=YOUR-KENNITALA (Safari on iPhone). No App Store app. If you already bought the older Island.is Web (Script) product, remove it first — A+W+B (VPN) replaces the userscript, and leaving Userscripts installed can fight the VPN rewrite: 1. Touch and hold the Userscripts app icon on your Home Screen. 2. Tap Remove App → Delete App → Delete. 3. Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Userscripts → turn Allow Extension OFF (if it is still listed). 4. Close all Safari tabs, then reopen Safari. Then set up A+W+B (VPN): 1. Tap Install configuration profile → Allow. Then Settings → Profile Downloaded → Install → passcode → Install. If it says Unverified, still tap Install. 2. Trust the certificate: Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings → enable full trust for “Surge” → Continue. This is a separate step from installing the profile — HTTPS will not rewrite until Surge is trusted. 3. Turn on VPN: Settings → VPN (or General → VPN & Device Management → VPN) → turn on “Island Surge VPN”. Wait until status is Connected. You will not be asked for a username or password. 4. Test in Safari (not Chrome) on island.is. For banks, fully close Landsbankinn / Arion and reopen with the VPN Connected. This rewrites island.is and the bank domains included in your order (typically landsbankinn.is and arionbanki.is) while the VPN is on. Other apps (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Safari on other sites) use normal internet and should not be slow. Switching ages: if you own more than one age, open that age's link from your email — the gateway switches within a few seconds while Island Surge VPN stays Connected. Refresh Safari and fully reopen the bank apps after switching. If https://vpn.mclovin.tech will not load at all, wait a minute and retry, or message chat — do not pay again.

Yes. Each age is its own purchase at full price — buy an 18 and a 20 (or as many ages as you want) on the same real kennitala. You get one setup email per order. As soon as you own two or more, the email has a box at the top with one link per age: https://mclovin.tech/switch?id=YOUR-KENNITALA&age=18 (and the same for each age). Open the link for the age you want and your phone switches to that age. Only one age is active at a time, and switching back and forth is free and unlimited. This works for Island.is Web (Script) and A+W+B (VPN) (and the à-la-carte VPNs). If you installed the userscript before switching existed, reinstall it once from https://user.mclovin.tech so it can switch. Island.is App (Replica) is a fixed Diawi build tied to the age you ordered, so it is not switchable — another age in that app needs a new App order.

Open the link for the age you want — https://mclovin.tech/switch?id=YOUR-KENNITALA&age=18 (or the matching line in your setup email). When you own two or more ages, that email has a box at the top with one link per age (for example "18 → …" and "20 → …"). • Island.is Web (Script): the link opens island.is and your number flips right away — no reinstall, no waiting (unless you installed the script before switching existed — then reinstall once). • A+W+B (VPN): the link switches the gateway; the change lands within a few seconds. Keep Island Surge VPN Connected, then refresh Safari and fully reopen the bank apps. Only one age shows at a time — opening an age's link turns the others off. You can switch as often as you like, for free.

Go through this: • Open the correct link — each age has its own link in your email. Opening an age's link is what switches to it. • Island.is Web (Script): if you bought the userscript before this switching feature existed, install the script once more from your setup link (https://user.mclovin.tech) — older scripts cannot switch. New installs switch on their own. After reinstalling once, opening an age link flips it instantly. • A+W+B (VPN): wait a few seconds after opening the link, then refresh the page; fully close and reopen the bank apps. Island Surge VPN must stay Connected. • Only one age is active at a time — opening one age's link turns the others off. That is normal. If it still will not switch, message support chat with your checkout email and which age you want active — do not buy again.

If Safari, island.is, or other sites stay blank or will not load after you turn on Island Surge VPN, try these in order: 1. Turn the VPN off and on again — Settings → VPN → toggle Island Surge VPN off, wait a few seconds, then turn it on and wait until it says Connected. 2. Restart your iPhone, then turn Island Surge VPN on again. 3. If it still will not load, remove the Island Surge profile (Settings → General → VPN & Device Management) and install again from your personal setup link. Full steps are in “How do I set up A+W+B (VPN)?” Also turn off iCloud Private Relay and disconnect any other VPN app so they do not fight Island Surge VPN. If it still will not load, message support chat with your checkout email — do not pay again.

Go through this list in order: 1. Island Surge VPN status must say Connected (not Connecting / Not Connected). 2. Certificate Trust Settings must have full trust enabled for “Surge”. 3. If you used to have Island.is Web (Script): delete the Userscripts app and turn its Safari extension off (see the A+W+B (VPN) setup answer above). 4. Turn off iCloud Private Relay: Settings → your name → iCloud → Private Relay → Off. 5. Close all Safari tabs (and fully quit bank apps), then open again. 6. Toggle Island Surge VPN off and on, or reboot the iPhone. If island.is or other pages still will not load, see “When I turn on the VPN, nothing loads…”. 7. Test only in Safari for the website — Chrome will not show the rewrite the same way. 8. Another VPN app (NordVPN, Surfshark, 1.1.1.1, etc.) must be disconnected so it does not fight Island Surge VPN. If pages will not load at all with the VPN on: toggle the VPN, restart the phone, then try the steps in “When I turn on the VPN, nothing loads…”. Private Relay or a second VPN is also a common cause. If the setup page itself is down, message support chat — do not repurchase.

Use the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of any page on https://mclovin.tech — that is the only official support channel and it is checked constantly. We do not run a support email inbox, and we do not answer social DMs. Before messaging “where is my app?”: wait until the full 80-hour window after payment has passed, and check Spam / Junk / Promotions. For A+W+B (VPN) or Userscript, check those folders for the setup link first, then try the troubleshooting steps in this FAQ. For wrong UDID / new phone, payment issues (Blocked / Failed / charged with no email), or setup stuck after you followed the steps, message chat right away with: the email used at checkout, which product you bought, and what you already tried. Details you typed wrong at checkout cannot be changed and are not refundable — support has no way to edit a paid order.

You can fully switch back to your real kennitala and hide any trace of the setup by going through the steps below. Skipping a step is the most common reason people think “it didn't work.” Disable the userscript in Safari 1. Open Safari → any site (e.g. island.is). 2. Tap “Aa” (or the extensions control) on the left of the address bar → Manage Extensions. 3. Toggle “Userscripts” off — or open Userscripts and disable only your script. 4. Close all Safari tabs and reopen island.is — your real kennitala should show again. Turn off Island Surge VPN (A+W+B (VPN)) 1. Settings → VPN (or General → VPN & Device Management → VPN). 2. Toggle Island Surge VPN off (Not Connected). 3. Disconnect any other VPN apps so they do not auto-reconnect. 4. Optional when done forever: Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → remove the Island Surge profile. Hide the real island.is app (before using Island.is App (Replica)) 1. Touch and hold the real island.is icon → Remove App → Remove from Home Screen (not Delete App). 2. Island.is Web (Script) needs the Userscripts extension in Safari. A+W+B (VPN) and the à-la-carte VPNs use an iOS configuration profile. There is no other-phone version — do not buy if you are not on iPhone.

No. For your privacy and ours, all support goes through the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of this website. DMs on Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, Discord etc. are not monitored and will not be answered — accounts that look like us on social media may not even be us. Keeping support on-site also means your order details never live in a social media inbox.

No to both. Changes are not allowed and refunds are not offered. Every paid order is final — we cannot edit email, name, address, phone, kyn, age, kennitala or photo after payment, and we cannot refund for typos, wrong age, wrong product, or “I changed my mind.” This is why the checkout warns you: read every field twice before pressing pay. Support cannot undo a mistake, so there is nothing to message us about for a correction. The only exception is a wrong or missing UDID / new phone, which is not an order change — use https://mclovin.tech/udid with the exact same full name as your order. Do not place a second paid order to fix a typo — that just creates a duplicate charge we cannot refund.

Every iPhone has its own UDID, and an app signed to your old device will not install on a new one. Open https://mclovin.tech/udid (homepage “New phone” button), enter the exact same full name as the original order (spelling and capitalisation must match) plus the new UDID, and confirm. The resend is free. The new build is queued through Apple and delivered within up to 80 hours to the email on the original order — unless that UDID is already on App Store Connect, in which case the wait is skipped. No group or bundle discount, and there are no typed coupon codes. Each product is charged at its list price unless a discount is on: Thursday 30% (Iceland time), sticker QR 50% for 60 minutes after https://mclovin.tech/q, or an admin flash sale 0–90%. If more than one is on, you get the single highest percent — they never add together. Buying more than one age (e.g. 18 and 20) is also each at full price (Thursday still applies to a new order if it is Thursday) — but once you own them, switching between your ages is free and unlimited.

Web can be turned off by disabling the Userscripts Safari extension, but that means knowing the extension exists and opening the “Aa” menu — doorstaff / cashiers almost never check that. Island.is App (Replica) is a self-contained iOS app with nothing to toggle from the outside. A+W+B (VPN) works while Island Surge VPN is Connected and Surge is trusted. The usual reasons something “stops working” are: VPN left off, userscript turned off by mistake, Private Relay / another VPN interfering, or the real island.is app still visible next to the custom one — see the disable and troubleshooting answers above.

That is just a visual click confirmation on the shop. On a computer, buttons also grow a little if you hover. Your normal mouse pointer stays; nothing is replaced. If you turn on Reduce Motion in the OS, both effects switch off. They are off in the admin console.
